Assalamu alaykum, super moms! 💖 Have you ever paused in the midst of your bustling day and thought about the precious legacy left by our Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam)? Today, let’s delve deeper into the blessings given to our Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) and what it means for us as modern Muslim moms.
Prophet Muhammad’s (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) Special Blessings : A Touchstone for Muslim Moms 🕊️
Narrated Jaabir ibn ‘Abdullaah (radiyallaahu anh): Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said, “I have been given five (things) which were not given to anyone else before me:
- Allaah made me victorious by awe, (by His frightening my enemies) for a distance of one month’s journey.
- The earth has been made for me (and for my followers) a place for offering Salaat and a thing to purify (perform Tayammum), therefore anyone of my followers can offer Salaat wherever he is, at the time of Salaat.
- The booty has been made Halaal (lawful) to me yet it was not lawful to anyone else before me.
- I have been given the right of intercession (on the Day of Resurrection).
- Every Prophet used to be sent to his nation only but I have been sent to all mankind.”
Significance of These Blessings
These unique blessings are significant for us as Muslim moms as they guide us in shaping our children’s Islamic understanding.
So, let’s unpack these treasures one by one. 📦
Victorious by Awe: Teaching Bravery to Our Kids 👑💪
Allaah made Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) victorious by awe for a distance of one month’s journey. As moms, we can share this with our children, teaching them about bravery, and the importance of standing up for truth and justice, as we forever have Allaah to make us victorious.
Also, this can be a powerful tool in raising confident, kind, and courageous kids.
The Earth: A Place of Worship and Purification 🌱🌎
Our Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) was given the Earth as a place to perform Salah (prayer) and to purify oneself. This means, wherever we are, it’s never too far from a place where we can connect with Allah.
Isn’t it comforting to know that we can always connect with Allaah through Salaah, even amidst our busy mom-life? Plus, this teaches our kids about the importance of prayer and cleanliness – essential life skills. 🚿
The Lawful Booty: Fostering Honesty & Gratitude 🎁
Allaah made booty lawful for the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam). This teaches us the importance of earning lawfully and being thankful for Allah’s provisions.
And, teaching our kids the value of consuming only what’s lawful, honest work and gratitude is key to raising content, generous, and hardworking individuals. And guess what? A University study shows that children who regularly practice gratitude have lower levels of depression and stress. 🌟📈
The Right of Intercession: Encouraging Empathy and Love 💖
Allaah has given the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) the right of intercession. This is a lesson in empathy and love for us and our kids. So, let’s teach our little ones about the importance of caring for others and being good to all mankind.
In the words of Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam): “The best among you is the one who is the best to his family, and I am the best among you to my family.” 💌💫
A Prophet for All: Promoting Unity 🤝
Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) was sent to all mankind. This teaches us about unity and love for all. So, let’s foster these values in our children to raise a generation that cherishes togetherness and values peace.
Remember, “O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another.” (Quran, 49:13) 🌎💞
